Researcher Position Available at Medicinal Chemistry


The Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK) which is part of the well known International Institut Pasteur network is located in Pangyo Techno Valley. Since its creation in 2004, IPK has grown rapidly with currently 140 people from more than 12 nationalities. The Institut research focuses on cutting edge approaches in cell biology, automated microscopy and image analysis to understand cell biology/diseases mechanisms. IPK drug discovery programs is focused on finding small active compound against infectious agents using Visual High Throughput / High Content Screening platform located in a BSL3. I. Job Description


The Medicinal Chemistry group is currently seeking for a MS level synthetic organic chemist to participate in our drug discovery & development programs. The individual will play a significant role in our efforts for lead optimization of HIT scaffold through the design and synthesis of potential drugs for our HIV drug discovery and development programs. IPK is a world class translational research institute, renowned as a center of excellence in biomedical research and technology development. II. Qualifications

MS in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry with more than 2 years of working experience is required. Other requirements include knowledge of methods and instrumentation for compound characterization and purification, good communication skills in English and most of all, evidence of the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

의약화학그룹(Medicinal Chemistry Group)는 초고속/대용량 기반 약효물질 탐색 시스템을 구축하고 생물학, 핵심 응용기술 연구그룹들과 협력하여 화합물을 3차원 시각화하여 유력후보화합물 및 신약후보화합물 발굴 연구를 수행하는 파스퇴르 연구소 신약개발연구의 핵심적인 그룹입니다. 본 연구소의 의약화학연구부에서는 21세기 신약개발을 선도하는 세계적 수준의 연구소로 성장하기 위해 역량 있는 연구원을 초빙하고자 합니다

1. 담당업무





a. 생물학 기초연구 그룹 및 신약 탐색 그룹과 연계하여 신약후보물질 발굴

- 유도체 및 신약 후보물질 발굴 (HIV 등)

- 체계적인 신약후보물질 데이터 베이스 마련
- 신약후보물질 표적화 연구 및 안정성 제고



2. 채용 직급 및 요건


a. 석사 경력연구원 (1명)

- 유기합성 혹은 의약화학분야 석사학위취득 후 2년 이상 경력자
- 영어 의사소통 가능자
- 탁월한 팀워크 능력 보유자
